about

An open defiance of God –

In the beginning, there was nothing. An expanse so all-consuming that humanity still ceases to believe it. Upon the creation of time and during the millions and millions of years proceeding, life began to grow, mutate and flourish. This was the beginning of humanity and the peace before the storm that came with it.

Naturally, when anything is left to its own devices for too long, friction occurs. People began to spread and inhabit the Earth like a plague and subsequently- hatred and conflict ravaged the Earth and soon enough, humanity was on the ropes.

All-out war broke out across the globe. Millions of people die within the first fifty years of the twentieth century at the hands of oppression, dictators and the crawling, sprawling war machine. Humanity spent a long time looking for an out and an out came to be when man created the Destroyer of Worlds.

Post-war, post-destruction, there was another plague. A pandemic of humanity, as far and as wide as the edges of the Earth and as deep as the deepest drop in the ocean, to the highest point on Earth and beyond. In to space humanity went but this only caused further conflict. ‘What about us?’ cried the people, ‘What about the Beast?’ roared those in charge. The Beast roared across the Globe, chewing up and spitting out, murdering millions on the way. You’d be forgiven for thinking that this was the end, regretfully this was not the case. Another plague came, a real one, a virus.

During the early days of the plague there was a certain novelty. A slowing down of life and an endurance of the storm. People learned to live and to love the real things. In these days the first time around, people got bored quickly. Millions of people died.

People took a while to adjust and eventually cracks began to appear. After three months the ‘Greatest Nations on Earth’ were in wreck and ruin and after the state turned to brutality, and with a knee that broke the camels back, the people became a movement in the empty streets, a moment in time.

When the second wave crashed back through humanity, people learned and learned fast. The people adjusted to a life apart, they found new ways to survive and stay alive as a society. Before long, communities of people worldwide brought forth a Revolution. A revolution from the bedrooms and the gardens, of hope and of redemption. The people loved, and the people stayed home.
